Mr. McDermott takes pride in his ability to meet challenges and to complete a wide range of complicated legal transactions in a personal, efficient and timely basis. The firm concentrates in the area of business transactions, corporations, real estate, wills and trusts, probate, and health care law. The firm's client list includes medium and small companies engaged in a broad range of business and professional services, and families and individuals throughout Central Illinois. The firm maintains offices in the heart of historic downtown Springfield at 109 South 7th Street and in Rochester at 309 South Walnut. Kevin N. McDermott is an active member of the Springfield community, serving as director and member of various not for profit health care institutions. Along with John L. Drew, Mr. McDermott directs the annual McDrew Charity Tennis & Jazz Festival which has raised thousands of dollars for not for profit agencies in Springfield and Sangamon County since 1974. Kevin N. McDermott is a 1987 graduate of St. Louis University School of Law, St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to graduation, Mr. McDermott served as Executive Director of the Central Illinois Health Systems Agency. Mr. McDermott earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1981, and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 1978.
